Mats Qwarfordt – wallpaper maker and runs the family business Handtryckta Tapeter. In November 2019, he was awarded the Royal Patriotic Society’s craftsmanship medal for excellent skill.

Lars Sjöberg – art historian, draughtsman, sculptor, graphic artist, writer and museum man. He was previously curator at the National Museum in Stockholm.

Ursula Sjöberg – art historian and wrote her doctoral thesis on the architect C.C. Gjörwell. She has been a curator at Kungl. Husgerådskammaren.

Erika Åberg – architectural antiquarian educated at the University of Gotland and the University of Gävle. She works with building conservation as a freelance writer and lecturer.

This book, which is the first stand-alone volume in a series on the Engelsberg Mill World Heritage Site, contributes to a better understanding of the history of wallpaper. Through the rich array of illustrations, both historical and modern, experts in several subjects share their in-depth knowledge of wallpaper, both as a craft and as an expression of different decorative ideals.
