The elevator lamp is an evolved cobbler’s lamp, intended to hang above a table or workplace. The lamp was common both as a kitchen lamp and as an office luminaire, and was also used in other workplaces with a requirement for more concentrated light. The lifting device with its easy-rolling porcelain wheels makes the lamp adjustable in height.

A specially designed brass cable strain relief relieves the cable from carrying the full weight of the luminaire. The deep, white glass shade provides a combination of general and concentrated light, without glare. Our lamp is a replica of an original luminaire. The shade holder, with its special rope bar decoration in relief, is handmade to match the high quality of the original lamp.

The lamp is supplied with one and a half meters of three-strand twisted black textile cord. All metal parts are made of solid, polished, unlacquered brass. Length 88-150cm, diameter shade 25cm.

The lampshade is in opal glass and replacement shades are available.

Shoemaker lamp small green shade black cord

The cobbler’s lamp was one of the first indoor electric light fixtures.

The model became common as ceiling lighting in all rooms in simpler homes from the 1910s onwards, however in wealthier environments it became the standard luminaire for less lavish rooms, such as hallways, kitchens and maids’ rooms.

The lamp provides nice and soft spot lighting and is suitable for smaller spaces such as windows.

All sheet metal parts are made of heavy, polished, unlacquered brass. The screen is made of opal glass.

A specially designed cable strain relief relieves the cable so that it does not carry the entire weight of the luminaire. A porcelain ceiling bracket with a wooden base plate is available as an optional accessory for a contemporary ceiling connection.

Shade of hand-blown green opal glass with white inside. Diameter 20 cm. Lamp holder in unpainted polished brass with ceramic base. Light source for E27 base. 2 m twisted black textile cord, 3-wire (grounded) included. Plug not included.

Lamp Beehive, white, nickel-plated, 20 cm

Classic ceiling lamp in Art Deco style. Appeared in Sweden and Europe during the 1920s and 1930s. The glass cup has an undulating shape and is reminiscent of a beehive, hence its name. The glass cup is 20 cm in diameter, about 18 cm high and together with the pendulum the lamp is about 40 cm long.

The pendulum is made of nickel-plated brass – by nickel-plating brass, you prevent oxidation. A thin layer of nickel is applied to the brass in an ion bath using electricity to make the nickel adhere to the brass. The surface becomes silvery, shiny and hard. The surface has a warm tone, unlike chrome, for example, which has a cold tone.

The glass is mouth-blown opal glass, also known as milk glass. Commonly available in white color. Opal glass diffuses light softly, effectively and evenly. The surface of our glass is glossy, but can also be satin or matte.

Made in Europe and sold in several combinations and lengths. Also available in yellow-tinted opal glass and untreated brass. Choose between 20 cm and 50 cm pendants.

Lamp Beehive, yellow, brass, 50 cm

Classic ceiling lamp in Art Deco style. Existed in Sweden and Europe during the 1920-1930s. The glass cup has an undulating shape and is reminiscent of a beehive, hence its name. The glass cup is 20 cm in diameter, about 18 cm high and together with the pendulum the lamp is about 70 cm long.

The pendant is made of untreated brass. Brass – or poor man’s gold, as it used to be called – is a non-magnetic copper alloy, where copper is alloyed with zinc. The higher the copper content, the yellower the tone. Untreated brass oxidizes over time and gives a beautiful matte yellow-brown tone with patina.

The glass is mouth-blown opal glass, formerly called milk glass. Commonly found in white color but seen here in yellow tone. Opal glass diffuses light softly, efficiently and evenly. The surface of our glass is glossy, but can also be satin or matte.

Made in Europe and sold in several combinations and lengths. Also available in white opal glass and nickel-plated brass. Choose between 20 cm and 50 cm pendants.
