Edge strip late 19th century per meter

The edging strip included in our program of planed joinery from the second half of the 19th century is of a machine-planed variety that was common throughout the country. The model is usually called “French joinery” and was in production until well into the 20th century. There were normally two variants, one more lavish for finer rooms, such as the hall, atrium and salon. These rooms included, for example, three-part cornices and three-part high plinths. For simpler rooms, such as kitchens, bedrooms and chambers, carpentry was used with smaller dimensions and less complicated profiles. However, some of the moldings, such as linings and breast moldings, tend to be the same, regardless of whether they are in finer or simpler rooms.

The price is per meter.

Element brush short handle 50 mm

Chinese hog bristle 90 tops, straight top, untreated old wood handle. Used when painting small or confined spaces, where you want “access”.

ADVICE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

To remove loose bristles, always soap-wash a new brush before use.

As the brushes contain pure natural bristles, it is essential that the bristles are not exposed to drying solvents, without re-greasing the bristles afterwards.

Before use: Oil the entire brush (with cooking oil, rapeseed oil, or similar) for a few days. Then soap wash out the brush.

After painting with water-based paints and “older” paints, e.g. egg oil tempera, glue paint, wash the brush thoroughly with soap and water.

After painting with oil-based paints, use a non-drying cleaner. Always finish with a soap wash.

It is important to smell the brush, properly washed out it only smells of soap or possibly pig bristles.

For longer painting breaks, lubricate the brush with soap and shape the brush so that it does not “bounce”, store the brush like that. You can also hang the brush in a container with oil and “forget about it”. This will keep the brush in good condition until the next season’s use.

ATTENTION! Linseed oil poses a risk of spontaneous combustion in rags and tangles!

Elevator lamp

The elevator lamp is an evolved cobbler’s lamp, intended to hang above a table or workplace. The lamp was common both as a kitchen lamp and as an office luminaire, and was also used in other workplaces with a requirement for more concentrated light. The lifting device with its easy-rolling porcelain wheels makes the lamp adjustable in height.

A specially designed brass cable strain relief relieves the cable from carrying the full weight of the luminaire. The deep, white glass shade provides a combination of general and concentrated light, without glare. Our lamp is a replica of an original luminaire. The shade holder, with its special rope bar decoration in relief, is handmade to match the high quality of the original lamp.

The lamp is supplied with one and a half meters of three-strand twisted black textile cord. All metal parts are made of solid, polished, unlacquered brass. Length 88-150cm, diameter shade 25cm.

The lampshade is in opal glass and replacement shades are available.
