Round scraper 20 mm

Round brush used to apply linseed oil paint before modding. A small brush (20 mm) can also be used as a spray brush. The wiper is wound between the brush and the handle. As the bristles wear and become shorter, the brush becomes a little blunt. By unwinding a couple of turns of string, you can regain sufficient length and tension on the brush.

Element brush short handle 50 mm

Chinese hog bristle 90 tops, straight top, untreated old wood handle. Used when painting small or confined spaces, where you want “access”.

ADVICE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

To remove loose bristles, always soap-wash a new brush before use.

As the brushes contain pure natural bristles, it is essential that the bristles are not exposed to drying solvents, without re-greasing the bristles afterwards.

Before use: Oil the entire brush (with cooking oil, rapeseed oil, or similar) for a few days. Then soap wash out the brush.

After painting with water-based paints and “older” paints, e.g. egg oil tempera, glue paint, wash the brush thoroughly with soap and water.

After painting with oil-based paints, use a non-drying cleaner. Always finish with a soap wash.

It is important to smell the brush, properly washed out it only smells of soap or possibly pig bristles.

For longer painting breaks, lubricate the brush with soap and shape the brush so that it does not “bounce”, store the brush like that. You can also hang the brush in a container with oil and “forget about it”. This will keep the brush in good condition until the next season’s use.

ATTENTION! Linseed oil poses a risk of spontaneous combustion in rags and tangles!
